Star Wars Toy News From CVI

[singlepic id=23 w=150 h=150 float=left]Day 2 of Star Wars Celebration VI has come and gone. I am left with no money, aching feet and a back that is screaming in misery.  It was indeed another fun filled day.  Since I didn’t get a report up for Day 1 here is the old 1-2 combo. In 2013 Lego is releasing a fun piece, the Rancor Pit.  Your kids can have fun pretending the Rancor is eating your sealed, oops, now unsealed, mint Gamorrean Guard.  It’s not really worth anything anyway, the Gamorrean Guard that is.  The Racor Pit is priced at $59.99 and will be available January 2013.  Pics below.

Hasbro has a few cool items coming out this year and next.  The first item I couldn’t miss because of it’s size is the Millennium Falcon. Wow is this thing big.  It is slated for retail this October.  What else can I say about it, it’s the freakin’ Millennium Falcon!

Hasbro was also showing off their new Clone MTT (Multi-Troop Transport).  Although revealed in February 2012, we got to see the awesomeness of the vehicle up close.  The vehicle comes with 20 droids and an Obi-Wan figure.  16 of the 20 droids are non articulate.  The other 4 droids and Obi-Wan do articulate.  The droids are deployed via a motorized extension that comes out of the transport.  There are two buttons on top that control the motorized extension, one to open the transport and the other to close the transport vehicle.  There is a third button that makes sounds when pushed.  Also, when the transport motorized extension goes out and in it makes a mechanical sound.  There is also a side panel where the droids guns are stored and the transport has firing missles. Very cool toy but get your wallets ready, MSRP is $139.99 and is scheduled for release Fall of this year.

Sell outs:  Kotobukiya has sold out of their R2-A6 for the rest of the convention which ends on Sunday August 26. The unit was limited to 500 pieces.
