The Most Disappointing Movies Of 2013

TheCounselor_1This is a guest post by Daniel Marlowe. Daniel is an entertainment writer with a particular interest in all things related to film, and contributes to a variety of blogs on industry topics.

With the Oscars just weeks away, most of the buzz in the film community is on the major awards contenders and the best films of the past year. Certainly, this is always a fun time of year for movie lovers. However, the Oscars also tend to get too much coverage. By the time the actual night rolls around, most of the awards have been accurately predicted, though that’s not to say that it’s not fun to watch.

In the interest of changing things up, we decided to go the other way with a look back at 2013 in film. Here are our picks for the most disappointing movies of the past year!

lucasThe video below is just amazing. Similar things are already being done in the gaming world but imagine if this does work its way into the film world how this opens the doors more for backgrounds and the addition of more extras last minute to help fill the story. This will allow filmakers to render final or almost final looks to scenes in real time with limited post production. Will it take jobs away? I don’t think so, those used on post would be used in this level instead. Enjoy More

Doctor Strange Plot Reveal – Rumour

Well, the thorn in Marvel’s side, El Mayimbe, is at it again. As a guest last week on Thisisinfamous’ The Wrath of Kidd podcast, he revealed that he was having trouble with Marvel, and that due to these issues, he was declaring open season on Marvel/Disney with his scooping. While I have repeatedly stated on the show that I am more a DC fan over Marvel, if it is a superhero/comic movie or show, I am watching because I am a HUGE fan/geek of the genre.

Marvel Comics has posted a new teaser images for Jonathan Hickman’s “Infinity” event this summer — supposedly the first of many, as only one symbol on the teaser is “online.” Designed to be used with the Marvel AR mobile app, the image will likely be filled in throughout the week with members of a team classified as “Mighty.” More
