Now Geek This Reviews The New Fall Season

nowgeekthisI didn’t realize it had been so long since my last article, but it took me a while to catch up on all the new shows of the season.  As you may recall from my previous article, I listed the new shows that I was looking forward to watching, and gave a write-up on each show.  Now that I have ingested a few episodes of each show, it’s time for my review.  Read on as I run down the list to see which of the shows has lived up to my expectations, and which ones have failed to thrill me. Now Geek This: A Review of Gotham

nowgeekthisIn this edition of Now Geek This, I will be reviewing the new Fox TV series Gotham.  Gotham airs Mondays at 8 PM, and stars Ben Mckenzie as Detective Jim Gordon, and Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock.  The series is a prequel to the Batman mythos, and tells the stories of Gotham City in the years prior to the rise of the Dark Knight.  The will focus on Jim Gordon in the days before he becomes the police commissioner, and will feature some familiar characters before in their early days. WBG with bkg2Fall TV is almost here and we at We Be Geeks can’t wait! Gotham and SHIELD are back next week, so naturally we have to talk about them and what we expect this season. Plus, some more news about Arrow and Justice League cartoon coming back. Add in Microsoft’s purchase of Minecraft and it’s a full show! And we find out what happens when you text Groot!

Gotham Getting Picked Up By Fox

character_bio_576_gordon1So on the eve of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Fox, after a biddign war, has announced they have landed Gotham, from Warner Bros. TV and The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller, with a series commitment. Gotham will be about Gotham City’s Chief constable, Commissioner Gordon. The series will delve into that murky world of Law Enforcement in Gotham City, exploring the origin story of Gordon and the villains who make Gotham such a crazy place to live.
